I believe these three objectives are what our order has based its foundation upon. They are </B><I><B>Our People, Our Community, and Our World</B></I><B>. If we keep steadfast to these three objectives I trust that our Order will be around for generations that follow.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>The first objective is </B><I><B>Our People</B></I><B>. What do I mean by this? I am first and for most talking about our Brothers and Sisters in the Order of Odd Fellows. If we do not take care of our Brothers and Sisters we will be a forgotten Order along with those that have vanished away only to be read about in history books. Our People are the back bone of this Order. This is what makes our Order so beautiful. When we display to </B><I><B>Our Community</B></I><B> and </B><I><B>Our World</B></I><B> the Friendship, Love, and Truth that we have to offer one another, they will be knocking at our doors to partake in such an organization. Now, what do I mean by “taking care of our Brothers and Sister?” Simple, have activities that keep the interest of members such as: </B></div> <div> <B>A well run meeting</B></div> <div> <B>Class of Instructions</B></div> <div> <B>Degree Work</B></div> <div> <B>Cook Outs</B></div> <div> <B>Game/Card Night</B></div> <div> <B>Lodge Clean Up</B></div> <div> <B>Movie Night</B></div> <div> <B>Have a Guest Speaker</B></div> <div> <B>Start a Book Club</B></div> <div> <B>Create a Bible Study Group</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>It is imperative that we take care of </B><I><B>Our People</B></I><B> first. A membership drive is not going to help a lodge that can not keep the passion of what it means to be an Odd Fellow.</B></div> <bR> <bR> <div> <B>The second objective is </B><I><B>Our Community</B></I><B>. It is our duty as Odd Fellows to visit the sick, relieve the distressed, bury the dead and educate the orphan. It is also are duty to touch the live of the lost in Our Community. God wants the Mysteries he has given us to be a light in the darkness. We can accomplish this by showing Friendship, Love, and Truth in activities that will affect Our Community such as:</B></div> <div> <B>Support a local charity </B></div> <div> <B>Support a Boy/Girl Scout Troop</B></div> <div> <B>Support your local Schools</B></div> <div> <B>Support your local Library</B></div> <div> <B>Adopt addressStreetA Highway</B></div> <div> <B>Clean A Park</B></div> <div> <B>Take a Pastor to Dinner</B></div> <div> <B>Take a Government Official to Dinner</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>The third objective is </B><I><B>Our World</B></I><B>. This is a greater extension of the second objective, just on a larger scale. The world as we know it is getting smaller each day. With the use of the World Wide Web we can talk to and visit people from around the world. This gives us a greater chance for our light to shine farther than ever before. Here are some activities that can shape Our World:</B></div> <div> <B>Support S.O.S.</B></div> <div> <B>Support a Missionary </B></div> <div> <B>Support the United Nations Pilgrimage </B></div> <div> <B>Make contacts with Lodges in other countries</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>How do we accomplish these three fundamental objectives? It is up to the Nobel Grand's and the other elective officers of each lodge to have a 1, 3, and 5 year goals in place. How can members ever expect to create an impact, if a lodge has no direction? It is imperative that these goals be voted upon by every member so as to increase the impact to the Lodge, Community, and the World. It will be the task of the Grand Lodge Officers and Committee Members to assist you in caring out this charge. All Nobel Grand's, Officers, and Members have the full support of the Grand Lodge. </B></div> <bR> <bR> <bR> <bR> </td> </tr></table></body>
